Q: What are the qualifications required for admission in the courses?
A: The candidate has to have minimum 10th grade pass certificate to enroll for the
certificate courses.
Q: Is there any entrance exam to enroll for the courses at THE NAMEACADEMY?
A: No we don’t have entrance exams, as we believe that every student deserves
a chance to realize their dreams. All we need is their commitment to give their best and we will take care of the rest.
Q: Do I need to have any experience or background in filmmaking to attend any of
the courses at THE NAME ACADEMY?
A: No, we teach you right from the basics. The only thing you will need is passion to succeed in this field. And experience is something that we help you to gain in the respective fields while you are doing the course.
Q: Do you provide outstation students with boarding and lodging facilities?
A: Yes. We do help students in getting accommodation at a reasonable cost anywhere in Mumbai depending on their individual budget. Some of our students share accommodation in order to reduce costs.
Q: Do you offer Degrees and Diplomas?
A: We issue Certificates in all of our courses to students who have completed their course,
projects and tests and have successfully satisfied all the necessary criteria.
Q: Are there any books given on the related subjects?
A: Our training is more practical oriented where we encourage students to use books only as
references. We do give our students notes on all the related topics during the course. We also have a library of books and films which the students can use to update themselves.
Q: Who are the faculties at THE NAMEACADEMY?
A: Internationally and Nationally acclaimed professionals from the industry who have trained at
FTII (Film & TV Institute of India) & NSD (National School of Drama) comprise our faculty. Along with them we have many well known professionals from the industry who come as visiting faculty & guest lecturers and share their experience with our students. This gives all our students the edge to be better than the rest when they enter the industry.
Q: Do you give internships?
A: Yes. THE NAME ACADEMY does provide internships to deserving students.
Q: Do you give scholarships?
A: Yes. THE NAME ACADEMY gives scholarship to those talented students who are in
genuine need after they fulfill the required formalities.
Q: Do I need my own equipment during the training?
A: Not at all, in fact THE NAME ACADEMY provides all equipments and logistics to the
students during their training and for making their own Films during the course.
Q: Can I change my course mid way?
A: No, you cannot change your course mid way, though you may take a break due to
unavoidable circumstances if any, by prior written permission of the Director. The fees however are non refundable and non transferable.
Q: Are there any additional hidden costs for making the films or courses?
A: No. THE NAME ACADEMY does not charge any extra fees from its students during their
training. There are no hidden costs for any of the courses. In case the student has any special requirements then he will have to fulfill it at his own cost.
Q: What kind of placement assistance does THE NAME ACADEMY provide?
A: We do our best to provide opportunities to our students who have successfully completed
their course. We will place their profiles on our site which has been created with the sole purpose of promoting them in the industry. Since THE NAME ACADEMY is supported by some of the most reputed professionals from the industry we have an extensive network in the industry that absorbs our students according to their requirement. We have our own production house and hence we are able to give our students their first and most difficult break into this industry.
